MARYLAND HEALTH CONNECTION HOLDS “EXTOL & ENROLL” INITIATIVE JAN. 21-22

Free, In-Person Health Insurance Enrollment Help

Available at Places of Worship throughout the State

BALTIMORE (Jan. 9, 2017) — Maryland Health Connection will host “Extol & Enroll,” a health coverage enrollment initiative, on Jan. 21 and 22 at faith organizations throughout the state to help Marylanders get covered before the 2017 open enrollment period concludes at the end of the month.

Maryland Health Connection, consumer assistance organizations and faith organizations have partnered to provide free enrollment assistance at 12 places of worship across the state. Consumer assisters will be on-site to answer questions and enroll Marylanders in health coverage through the state’s health insurance marketplace.

Open enrollment for 2017 coverage ends Jan. 31, 2017. Medicaid enrollment is year-round.

Maryland Health Connection is the only place Marylanders can get financial help to cover the cost of health insurance. Last year, 9 out of 10 Marylanders received financial help to lower the cost of their plan.

Following is a list of participating faith organizations in Maryland. Visit MarylandHealthConnection.gov/FaithWeekend for more information or to enroll.
