Technology Improvements @ Maryland Health Connection

We continue to make improvements to the free mobile app we launched a year ago, Enroll MHC, which we believe is the most successful of its type in the country, enabling end-to-end enrollments in both private plans and Medicaid. Here’s how the mobile app is doing:

• 150,000 downloads so far.
• Has helped speed operations and cut time on call-center calls.
• 80,000 required verification documents submitted securely through mobile cameras.
• 1.2 million pieces of information shared between the marketplace and consumers via mobile.
• Push notifications and MCO shopping for Medicaid will be added this fall.
• 2/3rds of 25,000 mobile enrollments completed by young adults 18-34.
