College Enrollment Week Sign-Up Event at Bowie State University – Nov. 17

In Prince George’s County there will be an enrollment event at Bowie State University , Student Center Lobby on November 17th from 12 noon – 6 pm. #HealthAdulting.
Maryland Health Connection will host “College Enrollment Week” from Nov. 14 to Nov. 20 at more than a dozen locations throughout the state. This series of enrollment and informational events will provide eligible Marylanders with information about Maryland Health Connection and the opportunity to sign up for or learn more about health insurance.
Maryland’s College Enrollment Week aligns with the White House Healthy Campus challenge, a national effort to engage college campuses across the country to inform and enroll young adults in health coverage. Dec. 15th is the deadline to sign up for coverage to begin Jan. 1, 2017. Open enrollment for 2017 coverage ends Jan. 31, 2017.
Numerous colleges across the state will enroll Marylanders in health coverage or share information about how they can enroll in qualified health plans for 2017. Medicaid enrollment is year-round. Maryland Health Connection is the only place Marylanders can get financial help to cover the cost health insurance. Last year, 9 out of 10 Marylanders received financial help to lower the cost of their plan.
